You don’t get up every morning to make a hairstyle, but it’s not often that you do. Over the past three decades, countless photos of her have been shared with hairstylists all over the globe. It could be because someone is looking for “The Rachel” or some well-placed blonde highlights. Aniston admits that she feels the pressure to keep her hair looking its best, despite it seeming like a luxury to have such power.
However, this high stress level iconism makes Aniston a great candidate to start her own hair-care company. LolaVie, named for “Lola,” Aniston’s nickname, will debut a unique product, the Glossing Dectangler, on September 8.
Aniston informs us that this launch was a long wait. She explains that the company has been in development for nearly five years. “I was involved in another hair business years back, and that’s how I got the bug behind the scenes of how you [choose] ingredients and the development and marketing process.
Why did it take so long? It was important to her that every detail be perfect, including the product’s ingredients and tall rectangular bottles with minimal white or black detailing and brand messaging. The Glossing Detangler had to be the Swiss Army Knife in hair-care products. She says that she loves a good detangler as her hair has been through so much. Aniston used to spend hours combing her hair with many different products, including creams, perfumes and serums. Glossing Detangler was created to remove most of these steps. I love a product that does multiple jobs, so it has a shine and heat protector. It’s also time-efficient.
It is true. Aniston’s home-care routine for hair is as simple as it gets. She explains that her hair care routine consists of washing it and conditioning it, then brushing it through and then putting the detangler on. After that, I dry it naturally or blow it off with a towel.
The Glossing Detangler formula includes plant-based ceramides and bamboo essence. It also contains extracts from lemons, chia seeds, and other citrus fruits. Ginger King, a cosmetic chemist, says that these ingredients “help to replenish moisture and build a barrier against water loss, strengthen hairs, moisturize, provide antioxidation and purify hair.”
LolaVie will not be the sole manufacturer of this product, but it is not the least. Aniston says that she has “a couple of products” that she is working on. Although she can’t give us the exact names of those products, she does assure us that they will all be “bulletproof” because of the pressure to perform. (And, if you like, she’s just perfectionist by nature).
It is clear that a product is good when her friends with different hair textures give it their approval. It was great to hear from my one friend with kinky hair and my other friend who has straight, stick-HT0_ hair . Friends who have had to deal with afros and color-treated hair with severe damages, as well as men’s hair, have already tried Aniston’s Glossing Detangler. It was invaluable to receive feedback over the years, which has been an important part of helping to define the product’s purpose and needs.
Every LolaVie product will get its moment of glory as it launches. We’ll have a unique launch for each product when it launches; it will be like small rollouts.
While you wait impatiently for the rest LolaVie’s roster (same), there will be plenty of time for you to familiarize yourself with the Glossing Detangler. It instantly softens hair and smells just like a field full of lemon trees in the spring. However, we shouldn’t be surprised.
